About me

I’m Ali,  and I’m a Registered General  Nurse  having  initially  trained at Addenbrookes Hospital in 1989 and  I  have been working  as a nurse in  General  Practice  for over 20 years.

I became aware in 2020, that many GP practices  had stopped providing ear wax removal on the NHS and this has caused a great problem for many people who suffer from excessive wax build up which causes  isolation, discomfort and hearing loss.

I have been practicing wax removal by irrigation (used to be called ear syringing) for over 20 years and  so  I decided to set up my own business  to offer this  service privately. I am now fully trained to use  remove wax by micro-suction as well as irrigation if this is preferred.

All treatments are carried out in my purpose built treatment room where I can assess and perform wax removal  for those patients suffering from hearing loss due to stubborn wax.

I am also happy to assess ears prior to  an audiology  appointment, to check for wax (and remove this is necessary)  before new  hearing aid mouldings are required.

I am DBS checked, fully insured (including public liability insurance), a member of the NMC ( Nursing and Midwifery Council)  and I am regulated by the  CQC (Care Quality Commission)  a requirement which came about in 2022.

I am able to offer appointments  in the comfort on my treatment room in Cambridge Road , Ely. I will carry out a phone or email assessment prior to booking  to check suitability for wax removal

I offer a professional, personal, effective and safe service . I aim to see all patients within 7-8 days from making an enquiry , and as well as daytime appointments, I do offer  some evening and weekend  appointments.

Please note that there are two  small steps into my  treatment room.
