About me

I’m a Registered General  Nurse  having  initially  trained at Addenbrookes Hospital in 1989. I  have been working  as a nurse in  General  Practice  for over 25 years where removing ear wax which was causing patients problems was a very regular task!

In 2020,  most GP practices  stopped providing ear wax removal on the NHS and this has caused a great problem for many people who suffer from excessive wax build up which can cause  isolation, discomfort and hearing loss as well sometimes causing recurrent infections.

I  set up my own private practice in 2020 to help patient locally with wax issues  and  I now offer  wax removal by either  irrigation (used to be called ear syringing)  and or micro-suction and sometimes a combination of both, to quickly relieve patients from reduced hearing or recurrent infections caused by wax.

All treatments are carried out in my purpose built treatment room where I can assess and perform wax removal  for those patients suffering from hearing loss due to stubborn wax.

I am also happy to assess ears prior to  an audiology  appointment, to check for wax (and remove this is necessary)  before new  hearing aid mouldings are required.

I am DBS checked, fully insured (including public liability insurance), a member of the NMC ( Nursing and Midwifery Council) . I am also regulated by the  CQC (Care Quality Commission)  a legal requirement which came about in 2022.

I am able to offer appointments  in my purpose built treatment room in Cambridge Road , Ely  which has free parking.

I offer a professional, personal, effective and safe service . I am usually able to  see all patients within  just a few days  from making an enquiry , and as well as daytime appointments, I do offer  some evening and Saturday appointments.

Please note that there are two  small steps into my  treatment room.
